Ignite coverage: Outlook is completely runs on Microsoft cloud now

Microsoft Outlook is one of the most used productivity tools in the enterprise world.  When it comes to the mobile this was not the case. But Outlook caught up with Acompli and Sunrise calendar acquisitions.

The story title may confuse you little bit . But it is true. Outlook mobile apps on android and iOS were just the re branded version of the third party email client Acompli which Microsoft acquired. And acompli was running with the help of a server component which is hosted in Amazon Cloud. This created some problems to Microsoft. It is reported EU parliament blocked this app as the app caches data outside their exchange server.  Now things are changed. Acompli (Outlook)doesn't need to cache data outside its exchange server. It will be the native client of Exchange/Office 365 email. This should resolve all the privacy and security concerns.
